Loren, Read your comment on Ol'TinBender's post. I didn't want to hi-jack his post by adding this there.

I don't have the original Case shaft with a spline on each end. I think the hub is original though.

I had a new spline end matching the hub welded on to the shaft. They did a socket weld. Crappy looking but would have been functional if I had intended to use it.

13 splines 7/8" dia. If that matches your shaft, all we need is the bolt circle of the hub right?

In any event you should be able to get a shaft made up. The machine shop that did mine had a big assortment of spline stock, unfortunately they went out of business a couple of years ago.

Looks like Ol'TinBender has 6 splines, can't really tell on yours.

I'll check the hub over the weekend and make sure it is as good as I remember it.

Joe,
My hub is 6 spline like the tin knocker's is. On the dozer, the pump shaft sticking out is six spline and slides directly into the hub. I guess yours won't work. I can space the hub out from the pulley about a 1/4" and will have some virgin spline to work with. I have to check out MacMasters and Carr, to see if they have them and how much.
I sure appreciate your time and offer.

Well shoot, now I have no excuse for not spending the day spreading weed and moss killer on about an acre of lawn.

Another thought i had was to throw the drive in the lathe and bore out the center and make a bushing and use a set screw to hold it all together, i can spline a new shaft with the shaper just not sure on the hub.

You guys could also check out Surplus Center, they have splined bushings that could be welded into your hub. I got a couple some time back and made adapters for some of my pumps.
