AI tractor signs

I was just surfing ebay for tractor tin signs. I came across this seller. His signs looked good till I clicked on them. Then you can tell the details are a little off. Must have 30 different signs. Most have obvious mistakes. Did see a nice Allis wd45 and two Case signs that looked correct.
The title says they are Case DC, Massey Harris 44 and an Allis Chalmers WC.

If you maybe lived in a rural area growing up and drove by farmers in the field and you felt a bit nostalgic about old tractors these would probably be a nice conversation piece in a den or what have you where it would be proper decor. They would probably be quite irritating if you were a member of the “correct police” What really sticks out to me is the is the Allis with the “Farmall grill” with only one horizontal division instead of 3. An Allis has a horse-collar grill with solid expanded metal screen, some were split in half by a center divider.

he also has a 560 with Farmall M style fuel tank and headlight bar.

Aside from the obvious errors…. What about that tire setup on the first one?

Now, it was common to run duals on the land side and single on the furrow when plowing back in the day. I did so with the TW20 Ford for a couple decades.

But, I’m not so familiar with duals on a smaller tractor like this? Was not common in my area until you got to 120hp or more?

Then, the inner dual is clearly smaller than the outer dual. Which is a really bad deal. I guess perhaps if plowing with the other side in the furrow, the uneven tires would hit the ground level…. But still they would be turning at different diameters which would just be a bad deal.

What an odd thing.

As to the obvious errors. Think about this sort of thing becoming the common reality for all things everywhere. Even in this thread, folks are making ‘oh the correct police’ disparaging remarks, that having a correct history is a bad thing, we should like this just because it looks nice from a distance.

Will be an interesting future. Kinda glad I’m old.

These remind me of this AI rag that’s out there. Chocked full of poorly generated graphics misinformation.

Never mind the Case, what's that second one even supposed to be? It has Oliver decals. A model 36? Nothing about it looks familiar as any make or model except the slightly IH looking grill.

Well from a mind of the deeper state. I have been told some of this is to avoid copyright and pattern problems. Including lawsuits. 2. The average person does not know the difference.

If they're using brand names, and they are, they're violating copyright laws. Do any on their site say John Deere on them? I'll bet they won't be for long if the powers that be find out.

Not “lawyering up on you” but your comment suggested that you know that they are not paying for some type of licensing to use those brand names? I agree chances are they are not. If they do have licensing I believe they need to have a statement on the product or packaging like “xx is a registered trade mark of xx”
If you think that they are violating the copyrights because it does not look exactly like it is supposed to I disagree. If they pay for the licensing that is all they pay for to show the name on their product, it can represent whatever they want it to, it could be an Oliver brand car. And that might not even be considered a trade mark violation because there was never an Oliver car.
The licensing is all about whether or not by using the brand name that they make a greater monetary gain by associating their product with it because the brand name is better known, more familiar or popular.

Don't think for a minute that Mother Deere won't come down on them if they aren't licensed. I don't know if the outfit making those signs is licensed by all of the brand names they're using or not, I'm not even the first one to bring it up in this thread, just replying to what somebody else said. I do know from my toy collecting days, that somebody was making some sand cast Deere toys with the name John Deere cast in on the side of the hood. Deere came down on them. They kept making them, looking the same, but they took some of the letters out. I don't remember off hand what they did still say, but it was something like " o n ere" or some such thing. Not saying AGCO or CNHI is likely to crack down, but you can bet Deere would if they knew.

This seems to come up from time to time. Probably they get a cease and desist letter for the most part. A certain country was famous for doing this, then the t shirt or trinket company would go out. And they would start a new one!
Look at the chainsaws they used Steel instead of Stihl. Put model number on them that did not exist, like 099 turbo. I am not a fan of these botched signs and t shirts they represent nothing!

RR its happening in a lot of stuff, reverse engineering to boot. Then they kill the company and start a new one. Look at stack on tools, Do you see an issue here? Also killing the company or changing names gets rid of warranty issues fast.

There's an old gal close by who ran the flea market circuit for a lot of years. She used to sell tractor decals too. She has a small pole barn now and has a garage sale a couple of days a week. It's interesting to sit and talk to her about things like this. We were talking tractor signs last summer when I stopped in. She was telling me that even when it comes to reusing plastic bags, if they have a store name on them, she's supposed to turn them inside out.

You hear every now and then about the state police shutting down flea market vendors for selling counterfeit products.

Yes sir seen some questionable flea markets in the past. They have started regulating them some around me. Many different laws on stuff. Varies from state to state. Cannot sell used mattress in my state!
