allis chalmers 2300 disk

A family member recently bought an Allis Chalmers 2300 wheeled disk. Owner admitted that both bearings were shot in the front right gang, but said replacement was a simple matter. He neglected to mention that he ran the disk this way until he ruined the flanges on either side of the bearings. We have located a source for the bearings and flanges, but a discontinued part is also ruined - a 36.25 inch tube which is square on the outside and fits over the hexagonal shaft. Options are - 1. give up and sell disk for scrap. 2. have metal fabricator repair existing tube 3. locate tube on junked disk 4. locate an entire front right disk gang that can be fitted to this frame. Any thoughts on this matter? - such as the relative likelihood of finding an entire gang that would work rather than replacing or repairing the square tube?

I also own one, 15'. Used it on 70 acres already this Spring. I'd imagine theres some out there that could be had cheap for parts. What width? I'd hate to see you scrap it.

Thanks. There is a metal fabricator near here - H & H Sheet Metal, Russellville, KY. Haven't checked with them. Tube has notches where disks turned on tube. Is severed in one place. Would take some precision work to rebuild. Probably expensive.
Haven't checked to see if there is any place within reasonable distance that specializes in steel tubing.

I think it's about 10 feet. I'm not real sure how to measure a disk. It makes a difference of several inches whether you go by the maximum disk cutting width or the width at the axle. There are 7 disks on the front right gang. The left front gang has been replaced by a gang that came off another disk. It has 3 bearings rather than 2.
We live in South central KY. I suspect the least expensive way to repair this disk would be to replace the whole gang with something off a junked disk, if we can find one that would work.
