Another 1755 Question-FloorMats

Converting my 1755 from cab back to fender tractor. Did the open station tractors use floor mats, or was the platform floor just painted? Thought a floor mat might help deaden some noise.

Neither my 1755 (Hinson Royal Cab) or 1855 (Oliver cab) have anything on the floor. From the look of the paint I do not believe they ever did.

open stations had no floor mat ,just some pieces of that non slip tape that looks like black heavy grit sandpaper

like brad said they mainly used a grip like sand paper on open stations but some people add some form of rubber mats down so there is some extra protection in the "high traffic" areas of the floor.
