I am considering building a Oliver 88 with a 1650 head. I was told the head has no combustion chamber in the head, is this true? if so trying to use a compression ratio calculator and my numbers are way off. I would be running a 4 inch bore by 4 inch stroke.
Also in order to get this combo to work assuming no combustion chamber in head, How do you determine your head CC if its 0? do you need to calculate cc in block and count that as head CC'S? what would be the prefered method to make sure the valves dont hit piston? a dish in piston or have the piston not come to the top of the deck. otherwise using a compression calculator with a 0 cc head numbers make the compression ratio off.
