I have been looking for a 2 bottom 3 point plow. I have seen some Dearborn plows that don't have chains to center the coulters and keep from damaging the tires. Do all Dearborn plows supposed to have chains?
 
you mean the check chains, the economy plows didn't have those, if you wanted I suppose you could get a newer coulter assembly with an anti sway system or universal coulters. so you don't need chains
 
MIne has the check-chains for the coulters, the tiny scrapers for the coulters, and slatted moldboards. Loaned it to my BIL and he said he hit a rock and broke the coulter shaft, then threw the broken-off coulter away_. I also have a new set of points set back.
