Guys,
I'm in urgent need of help for my old 2010. We are right in the middle of needing to cut clover and the 2010 is down for the count.
I blew a hose and lost a bunch of hydraulic fluid from the lower right hand side of the console. Fluid was streaming out from right beside the brake pedals. Lost all power steering after this happened.
I took apart the cowling today and on the right side, I found a split in a hose that comes from the steering column and appears to drain back into the hydraulic sump.
See the pictures. The first shows the general location, note where my hand is. The next pics are close ups of the actual split in the hose.
Questions:
1. Can someone reference this hose in a parts diagram or where would I find info in the service manual?
2. What is the function of this hose? It appears to be some kind of return.
3. Biggest question for last: How does this hose attach/detach on the end where the leak is right where it goes back to the sump?
I can see no fitting, just a rubber "grommet". I was hoping for a standard coupling like the other end on the column has.
Many thanks guys. Really appreciate any and all help. Really need to fix this ASAP.
