trying to take the drawbar completetly off the M, but fining it to be a small challenge.. can anyone tell be if the bushing in the final drive is threaded or pressed in?? i know its threaded inside, but is it used to unscrew it or use a slap hammer or punch to get it out..

the last time i took one off i couldn't get the bushings to come loose, i cant remember how they come out, been awhile. i took the final drive off.

When I put a 3 point on my M, I removed the left final drive and used the bushing for the arms on the 3 point. It worked great. I made the 3 point myself but made no changes to the tractor, so I can re-install the 2 point if necessary. Russ

I had no problems getting mine off on my MT but it is a bit different. I would think the issue is the pin (#22 in the picture) is rusted into the bushings (#23 in the picture) in the final drive housing. Spray it with PB blaster every day for a week or more, then with the bolt removed (#20 in the picture) try and heat that pin up inside the lift arms that goes into the final drive housing. Get a piece of threded pipe the size of the pin, not the bushings, and try tapping it out. When you put it back together clean up those pins and put a little never seize on them. I got the name pin and bushing from the parts diagram. Hope that helps out a bit.

this is pretty close to what i thought was going on.. just didnt want to break anything. been sprsaying it with WD_40 and other sprays to help break it loose, but no such luck yet..looks like heat is the next option..
