F450 weight

at the public scales , no 3 point or weights or brackets for weight , with pto, hydraulics and tricycle front, 16.9 tires on 16 inch rims 6200 lbs

Lanse, that ain't proof. TDC is wrong quite often. The certified scales that one is weiged on is proof. These vary quite a bit depending on what is or is not on them. Some have poeer steering and some don't. Some have FH and belt pulley unit and some don't. Some have TA and some don't. Some have fenders and IPTO and some don't. Just depends on how one is equipped. Things in the real world are often different than what you will see in books or on paper.

Yes, I would just as soon TD.com would go away. Too many people take it as gospel. That data is only as good as the person entering it, and only as good as the sources from which it came, which in many cases are incorrect. Guy Fay gives the 450 weight as 5600, no fuel or water, if included that is still less than 6000 lbs with no wheel weights.

I think that is on the light side. I will weigh mine in a few days and see what it is. Keep in mind it is a diesel with FH, PS, BP. I am sure it is a little heavier than a gas model. T.D.C was off by 4 or 500 on my 350. On the light side. It weighs 5000 pounds. Actually it was 5250 with me on it. Certified scales.

Thanks guys! Been looking for a good 400 or 450. Found a nice 450, has PS,TA, and a 281 gas engine, but no FH or 3 point. How difficult is it to find a FH that will fit, and will it bolt right up?
