I accept that it s probably me and I ll end up putting on the dunce cap (again), but I recently bought a Farmall 140 sn#46xxx and bought (I think) the full set of manuals but can t find engine oil type or capacity anywhere. And while I m showing my ignorance, do I calculate the torque for the valve cover gasket by measuring the bolt size and tighten the nut according to the chart? (I started tightening them yesterday and while I see more thread as I go., I m not feeling much resistance. I don t want to over tighten them and end them up creasing my valve cover. Would welcome any help!
