follow up...got it unstuck,it was the dowel pins the were dry an stuck...had a curious question,i was looking at the end of pto drive shaft that goes into pilot bushing an noticed it had a hole in end that was threaded, what is it for.......thanks dewy

For using a slide hammer or something to pull shaft after screwing into threads. When clutch cross shaft and the housing release bearing slides on bolts are removed, clutch shaft and the PTO drive gear and shaft can be pulled together. Takes extra time to clean paint and straighten threads on dowel pins to remove first. But makes things go smoother sometimes. Use cheap grade 2 nuts and whatever washers needed under nuts and impact wrench if possible. Once pins start spinning you can pry out. For tight to end ones keep adding washer under nut until removed. Worst trouble is heads damaged to bad to get nut on by big hammer use.
