Ford industrial tractor serial numbers.

Just an FYI, this thread is over 4 years old. It's usually best to start a new thread for your questions instead of tagging onto an older thread like this. None of the numbers for the forklift itself mean much of anything to us Ford folks. The transmission number is a casting number and is more likely C2nn7006Dp, but a Google search on the number you posted or the one that I think it probably is don't bring up much of anything., The engine number C479246 looks like the engine serial number. If it is, then the engine was made for the 3xxx series tractors and if it is a gas engine it would be a 3 cylinder 158 ci engine and if it is a diesel it would most likely be a 3 cylinder 175 ci engine. If it was made in the late '80's or early '90's then a diesel might be a 192 or 201 ci. They are all the same basic engine design, just different bore and stroke to get the differing displacements. They are very reliable engines if properly maintained. Post some pictures of your machine and we might be able to help you figure out what model Ford tractor it was built on. Also, look for additional numbers on the flat spot just above the starter:
