Hello, good people -
I've recently acquired a '52 8N with a dealer-installed Funk 6-Cylinder conversion, H series. One really pesky thing I need to fix is the oil seeping through a badly-installed governor front seal (behind the pulley); I've had the governor off and apart, everything looks good - this tractor has a fairly recent engine rebuild, including the governor, but I noticed the seal body was banged up when I had the front casting off. It's not leaking from the governor body mating surfaces, it's where the pulley shaft comes through the seal, but danged if I can find this booger anywhere. Does anybody have a source/part number, PLEASE?
Since then, someone suggested I might find a suitable off-the-shelf replacement from someplace like NAPA; I've got the governor off again and later today I'll pop the seal out of the front casting to get dimensions from it and the hub of the pulley - has anyone here had any luck in finding a replacement seal?
