I am going to take the oil pan off and clean it out (while I'm in there, I'll check the engine bearings).
When you are taking apart an engine (trying to keep it clean), its a bit annoying to have paint flakes everywhere.All that damage and you are fussing about paint flakes? But wow, what a deal. Great tractor! Not being a rebuilder, I’d have to get another engine, and it would still be a good deal.
Yes if they are used in the oil patch. It’s called a rig saver. They are air operated. A jimmy in a tractor will not have one unless a guy installs one. Then it’s manually operated.Don't detroit's have an emergency shut off flapper?

I’ve never seen a Detroit without an emergency stop. On tractors and whatnot it is cable operated. They all have them, because they are more prone to run away than most other diesels. Today I bought a Kubota b2150 4wd tractor for $1700. They said it had a blown engine, but I think it has a blown head gasket or a fuel issue (maybe water in the fuel), because they said the exhaust went white, then it quit. what do you think?

Its not identical, but I think it will work.

What does the inside of that part with the hole look like? What goes inside it?Update: That housing didn't fit. So I ordered some high nickel rod to try welding the other one.
