Yesterday went pretty good. Had to change the cylinder on the field cultivator, and then went out and ran 6 or 7 acres to make sure everything was going to work OK. Went to town about 9 to pick up new alternator for new 1850 and then to Farm&Fleet and got more motor oil. On the way home, wife called and said that daughter, sil, and grandson were on their way down to visit. Got home and put the alternator on, and kids arrived. Grandson (Carter 2 1/2) had to come out and climb on the new tractor. Started it up and it's charging like it should. Hooked onto planter and took it out to see if I could plant with the trash wheels on, didn't work too well, so I came back in and sil helped me take trash wheel off and put no-till coulters back on. Finished loading planter and then went out to field cultivate some more, Carter had to go along for a while, then wanted to go see Momma. I got enough done to start planting, so I went in and got new 1850 and planter and started by the house. Kids came out and said goodbye, Looks like we will have Carter next weekend. I planted what I had worked up, got done about 7:30 and was starting to drizzle. Raining pretty good here this morning. 1850 ran fairly well, everything seems to work OK, BUT more blue smoke than I like coming out the exhaust, and it's not really missing, just seems to stutter an little bit- not as smooth running as I would like it to be. Will change fuel filters and put some Seafoam in the fuel tank and see if that helps. Attempt at double posting pictures. Chris
