H head

I picked up a head for an H this weekend, casting code is 9-4-K, part number is 8776-D, can anyone tell me if this is a gas head or a distilate head. Thank Lyle

It is a Distillate head.

Andrew would you know if I could have this head updated to an X1 gas head standard by having it milled or would it require different valves also, or should I just put it for sale and keep looking for a gas head.

No such updates, with compression etc. Even with a great deal of decking they still have low compression when compared to the gas version. I would keep looking for a gas head, they come up for 150 to 250, not too too bad.
