That's a CUB, not a 140. Cubs had the 60 cube flathead engine, 140 had an overhead valve engine.

That's a Cub...... and a fairly common way to run the exhaust. I have 3 with underslung exhaust

High crop was a factory option. And duel wheel spacers were available. That's probably the most expensive cub I've ever seen 4 tall back rims and tires, spacers, big front tires ....$$

There's a Cub just like this that has appeared at the local tractor show minus the duals, so yes it's real from talking to the owner.

I don't believe Cubs came from the factory equipped like this, but IH did provide a "high wide" package for the Cubs that included the parts to do that, with the exception of the duals.

To answer the original question I think a Cub high clearance option was offered with the parts installed at the dealer. Parts were basically oversized tires and rims. No CubV (Vegetable) option stated on this web site offered from the factory.

I know of one sitting in a yard in Myerstown PA as yard art. Seems like a shame to let it rust away. I guess we can't save them all.
