I hate Kwik Trip

According to legend, QT was a Wisconsin Startup. They made a gentleman's agreement with a Minnesota chain called Holliday. This may have been a "parent company of Holliday" Coborns Grocery, that made the arrangement. Again, according to the Local rumormill, Coborns put a Station in Wisconsin, breaking the "treaty". QT put 11 stores and OTR truck stops within the St. Cloud area within 5 miles or so in the hometown of ...Coborns!!
My family frequent the QTs for Oat Grain and sourdough bread, bananas, and string cheese. They are clean, friendly fast and stocked (get there early for Fresh donuts, or Oat Grain they go fast. Remember this is from the rumormill!!! Jim

I know I’ve seen them but not around here. We have Sheetz, Rutters, Royal Farms, some others I can’t think of right now. Sheetz offers a hot dog on a pretzel roll that is pretty good if I’m hungry enough.

In the town of Princeton MN there is a Holiday and a Kwik Trip 1 mile apart, and a Coborns is a block away from the KT...

Jim's post reminded me.... I forgot to mention the dairy selection. Been getting the milk they sell there for a few reasons. It doesn't go bad before it's expiry, they don't over pasteurize it & it tastes decent for being in plastic. Their flavored milks are really good & the eggnog is great by itself or mixed. The heavy cream is great for cooling with.

Good cheap produce & bread are another reason that I go.

And the free ATM!

The only thing I seldom get there is gas. The local (& closer) Casey's has way cheaper premium & the BP closer to the KT has cheaper regular & the only close spot to get off road. Also don't have to walk in & prepay two or three times when changing grades. That gets old, quick. Never mind the ineptness of some of the cashiers to begin with.

Does anyone else hate Kwik Trips destroying good conventional gas stations with resturants? They're like aliens and the food is sh*t and I hate the atmosphere and music. They keep going up everywhere buying up and taking away the good gas stations that have edible food.
Probably still beats Buc-ee's six ways from Sunday.

Granny’s Fried Chicken at the Sunoco off 95 just south of Petersburg. Good road food…just make sure to lock your doors, a prison is right next store. You Dont want to pick up unexpected passengers.😁

Have several Kwik Trip stations within 25 miles. Haven't been in a McDs or Burger King for years. I like the food at Kwik Trip. Quite often we pick up milk, butter and eggs there also. Have always had a positive experience there. Steve.

QT and KT are different outfits.

When I get to take a random trip to Texas, I tend to seek out the taco/burrito joints that are a shack backed up to a gas station. Quite often have had no idea what I was eating, but have never been disappointed.

I find some of the posts confusing. Non-farmer has fond memories of KT from fifty years ago in Iowa. KwikTrip entered the Iowa market in 1993 as Kwik Star because QuikTrip was already established in Iowa. Kwik Trip and QwikTrip are 2 different entities. Minnesota has Kwik Trip but no QuikTrip . Local Kwik Trip sells 91 octane no alcohol for $1.10 more then 87 octane 10 % alcohol 2 days ago. Local Cenex sells 91 octane no alcohol for $0.70 over 87 octane 10%.

Good Lord, Kwik Trip's are excellent. They are now employee owned. The original owner is a great story. I encourage you to look him up. The only place you will see his name is in the bathroom in the disclaimer about the cleanliness of the bathroom. If you have a complaint....he still answers those calls! He's a old timer. It's one of the best Wisconsin (and other states) business's around.

I look forward to stopping at kwik-trip when traveling as they have very good cinnamon rolls and molasses cookies and their breakfast sandwiches are no different than at McDonalds and you dont need to wait to have someone do you a favor by taking your order

I stopped at kwik trip and got a couple fake donuts and then when I got to a auction with Amish food I got a couple of their donuts. A night and day difference.

Didn't even think of the donuts, they are that bad. Lol! The cookies & muffins are about the same. If KT wants a good "factory" donut, they should source from someone like Grebe's out of Milwaukee.
