International 140 carb questions

A few carb questions. It does not have an adjustable main jet, the jet is there and then a plain plug, it this normal? also what is the float adjustment with or without gasket? it is a Zenith 12911 below that it is stamped 385608 R91 all of my old Fords (ha) have marvels so I'm a bit stumped. This is a tremendous web site for support no matter what I'm working on way up here in Canada!

Float level for that carb is 1-5/32, "Measured from the top of the bowl gasket to the bottom of the float." I interpret that as measuring from the gasket surface of the top half with no gasket in place. That should put the liquid level at 15/32 below the top of the gasket (which is easily checked without removing the carb).
