Hi,
I've inherited a Case VA and I'm having ignition trouble.
The symptoms are: It would run for a moments then die. After a few tries it wouldn't start any more and there is no spark.
What I know: The top of the coil is cracked, top of condenser looks swollen and the points cooked and look like they've over heated (the end of the contact arm is discolored).
It has a 12v battery, but the way everything is so badly cooked. I'm thinking that it's probably still a 6v system, so before I start ordering parts, how can I verify what it's supposed to be and, if it is 6v, what else it likely cooked?
Thanks in advance!!
Scott
