I have a JD 3020 that the PTO quit working on. I could not get it to work even with unhooking the linkage and manually engaging the PTO so I don't think it is in the linkage.I am pretty sure the PTO clutch is probably bad and was wondering how big a job it will be to do it myself. I know the tractor will need to be split to do but after that is there any major work that requires specialty tools or work that could not be done by someone with average mechanical skills? Also, can anyone give me a ballpark cost for doing this? This is a syncro-range transmission. Thanks to anyone who responds.
