jd 40 carb rebuild help

rebuilding carb on my jd 40. has a marvel tsx 530. on throttle shaft my old one had a broken return spring on the shaft near idle adjustment screw and premium rebuild kit came with a spring that looks like might fit but dosent show it on diagram. should it have one or is it for a different type carb? cant find any diagrams or pics that show if it does. not sure if it would even need a return spring like choke shaft. any help appreciated.

I finally found info that the kit fits 3 types of carbs so that return spring must be for a different type

No spring on throttle shaft.

My 40U with TSX 530 carb does not have a throttle return spring on it.

The carb has been rebuilt before I bought it so not saying it is original, but works fine without one.
