Well ,did you buy it?Pull those weights off and sell them seperate, a little cleaning up, some work on the canopy and a fresh coat of paint and it would bring 10 here.

I am in Georgia. Where are you?

I did not buy it but I thought it was an awesome deal! The motor was awesome, no leaks on the motor, tramission or hydraulics, they mentioned it had just plowed 30 acres with the spring tooth plow that was attached to it.

I was talking to my wife about it over dinner later that evening and she even thought it was a good deal. Perhaps I should have... :-)

thats reasonable...hoods not smashed,6 rear wts,you say it ran good. where are these 4020s
bringin 10??....i have 3 i'll sell.

After I heard the figure 10 tossed around here I was thinking I left a whole bunch of money on the table... I may start buying these things in Georgia and shipping them to the 10k market. :-)

Auctions can be funny at times as certain cicumstances may arise on that date that keep interested buyers away.

I recall an auction when I was getting started in my HVAC business and this auction was a sell off of extra equipment when two companies merged. Granted that they kept the best stuff for themselves, but there was a lot of items that were of great interest. I called my bank and secured a $5,000 line of credit and went to the sale.

Well the day turned out to be the first hot one of the summer and most every other HVAC busines in the area was busy servicing customers. As a result it was a buyers market and I got the equjipment that I thought would cost about $5,000 for a lot less and I also picked up a lot more stuff that I needed as well. Total cost, $2,100.

Now the buyer of this tractor probably got a deal, but if you or another person got into the bidding, the price might have been much higher. The fact that you held off gave this man a deal.

That is why I do not like to base tractor worth on auction, there are too many variables that have little to do with the tractors worth.

yep you sure got that rite!! every time i jump in on something it takes off-lol and goes too high.i think its my good looks.

The final bid means that what it sold for not what you could have bought it for as the final bidder might have kept going. I havent seen many early ones sell but know the 69/72 bring the 9to 12K figures and power-shifts and HFWD more and that is tractors that are nice.By looking at picture it looks fine and buyer could make some or use it and not lose anything.there are so many variables and at an auction its yours and many people cant decide that quick.
