M tractor hydraulics

Depends on what you want to lift. In my experience, the 6 quarts in the belly pump is not enough volume to lift a loader anyway... and the belly pump will develop a maximum of 850 psi.

I would go with the PTO pump and separate reservoir.

Yep,

If your tractor has the live pump, it will work just fine albeit perhaps a little slower and a little weaker.

I'd sure divorce the original system and use the DuAl reservoir like Steve says tho.

Ooops... didn't see the word "live" in the original post the first time.

Live pumps put out about 12 gallons per minute at 1200 psi max. Of course a worn pump will put out less. I've seen several M tractors with the live pump and a loader run off of it.

Good luck!

My brother has a dual 300 on a M with live Hyd. The 300 is the same dimentions as the 325. I have a 325 on a 1550 oliver. It works very good on the M. It will lift the 7 foot bucket full of dirt over the side of semi trailer (9 feet). If you have any questions you can email me.
