Letting you know how I came out on the Massey 1635. Discovered a plastic fuel tank under that metal heat shield so the magnetic heater idea was no good. As I said in my original post, I used 1/2 quart of PS 911 and about 2 quart of Howe's to get it going after it lost power. Then I changed the fuel filter (though absolutely no wax or solids in it I could see) and filled the filter with some kero I had for my shop heater. Dumped about 1 more gallon of kero in the tank (all I could get in 10 gallon tank as it was about full already) and ran it for a couple hours. No problems. Left the block heater plugged in all night. This morning she started right up and I ran it for a couple more hours cleaning driveways, and had no issues. Right at 0 deg this morning. Supposed to be -25 tomorrow morning, we'll see if it starts then. If I need it, if not no point in risking more trouble. If I can open up the drives with the pickup that will be good enough until temps get up to freezing this Saturday. Will be adding three times as Howe's at each fill from now on. Thanks.
