Model a ford tractor

It sounds like a doodle bug to me, a homemade tractor. People needed tracotrs, but diddnt have the money for one, so they would find an old car or 2 and some tractor wheels and get to work! Some of them turned out pretty cool!!

This one was made like a regular tractor using a model a engine and transmission, saw on this site but cannot relocate, didn't look like a bug, thanks Bruce

Thieman tractor company offered a kit to make a tractor and the buyer supplied the motor, transmission and differential. A kit could be ordered to use Chevy, Ford, Dodge, etc, power trains. Everyone I have seen were row crop units.

Many years ago, I saw what looked like a T model Ford coupe, with a tractor rear end bolted on. The back was jacked up of course due to the iron wheels...which were about the size of a Cub's or Super A's. It has been so long ago, I just don't recall the details....except it was a real Rube Goldberg contraption.

There was a shaw tractor kit to make a tractor out of a Model T, Do search under tractor photo "shaw" and there are a couple of pictures.

Thanks Walt, the tractor model I'm looking for used an A motor and transmission, had steering that crossed over the hood and to a gear box in front of radiator, thanks Bruce ( keep looking for me )
