Mounting Fuel Tank Inside Hood

Wanted to verify what hardware attaches the fuel tank to the hood. All I have are (2) fine thread bolts with castle nuts and Cotter pins. That is also all the manual shows. Is there nothing on the other side ? Also, what material is the fuel tank padding made of ?

OEM padding was leather. I used thin rubber in all of mine.

I have cork gasket material to use for that. Do you think it ll work?

No. It will dry out in a couple of years. I just cut up an old innertube.

Sounds good. What about the bolts for the other end of the tank? They aren t shown in the parts book. Just find some that fit?

I'm using 5/16" X 3/4" Bolts, Fine Thread, with Nylock Nuts. Putting some 1/8" rubber sheeting between hood and tank for the padding. Should work perfect.
