Lots of talk in the village to adopt new rules.
I thought the current rules were locked in till 2011?
If new rules were somehow gotten voted in before 2011,,, what happens to the current farm stock tractors that are set up for the current specs?
Will the club offer a class for them?
For those who do not wanna change their hitches or engines and still come to NCIATPA events.
Do you open up the "local class rules"?
How about a one class shootout? That puts em all in one class percentage scored.( we have done this in the past,,) Our own little King of the Hill type class. 0-6500# farm stock shootout.
Two hooks, best of two count, tally the total of the two scores to create the top score winner.
For the new changes,
My understanding is,
That to Adopt USAP Super Farm Stock rules, have been mentioned alot, to replace our current farm stocker rules.
I see no problem with that, providing the current class members are not turned out in the cold.
Years back, we had a simpler weight class, more of the groups of tractors were put in the same class.
You would see 25 to 50 hooks in one class all the time.
To sweeten the deal, offer up a Jackpot at the Fairs to bring em in as an attraction.
If you won first place or in the top five, paybacks would be higher! Pullers would strive a little harder to win that money.
Bragging rights of that would be winning a class against 20 or more tractors!
One or more rules I recommend for this class is, no strokers. Stock blocks,
More hitch provisions that can help pullers make adjustments quickly and gain some added strength for safety.
Weights in the stock location. No suitcase weights.
Low gear only, 2.75 mph.
Any possiblity of a test study of past ideas that can help, or a trial period to see how pullers would respond?
I know how most respond,,, How long is this class gonna take? Gonna be here forever,,,,,,
Ya all dont have to listen, ya all dont have to read it. Just some ideas I was thinking of to do to gain more tractors, and not turn away what has been a strong division. Create some bragging rights, and support more stock pulling and modified pulling as well.
We all dont have Modifieds, we all dont have farm stocks. This past year has shown that there are alot out there who need some suggestions.
I was told that the 2011 season, the rules were able to be unlocked,,,, Maybe I am misinformed on that,,,, HAHA!!
Current board did a good job. Ya all worked hard.
I didnt go to all of em either. Sometimes, other things gotta be done first. Im getting caught up on work. A fella named Paul has been working his butt off giving me a hand in the shop. Put a die grinder in his hand, and he aint stopped yet.
