So I have a tractor with this new cylinder on the left side and the right is missing... ..its a 5/8 and I dont know where the previous owner got it? cant see any name ? tractor has a loader and would like to get another one like it but if the dimensions are right on a different one , new or used , then I dont care what cylinder as long as it works and is a 5'8..Does this one look like something you have seen before ?...I looked at the store here and at Steiners but were talking with tax and shipping close to $300....would like the same brand but if I can find one that will work then ok...I am not sure where this guy bought this new cylinder? So am I right thinking that if I use 2 different clyonders then they have to be adjusted properly so not to have an issue? I think the travel has to be adjusted properly no matter what one I use ..

iirc... there is a 1/2 inch rod for a ford 3000 and a 5/8 inch for a ford 3400 industrial sub model... This might help you looking for the best buy...
Biggest problems is not the size, but turning them to the stop, and holding them there... this will eventually bend the cyl rods..

Yes, I seem to recall the 6/800, 6/801, 2000/4000 all had 1/2 , were as the light industrials (2030/2130 & 4030/4130) were 5/8. Please note that the Industrials(1801/4040/4140(HD4000))- were altogether different.
