The quote is automatic in the new software, but depending on whether you select "Threaded View (Classic View)" as an option in your preferences, it will display in a different order. If the Threaded view is checked, then replies to a specific post will appear under that post and be slightly indented. If you uncheck the option, then it will look like Modern View (and all other forums software now) and posts would just appear in chronological order.
The quote is very important to this concept and since some users would tend to remove it before typing their reply, it may need to be hidden for threaded/classic view users. Then they will not remove it while still being able to view the thread by who replied to who.
