New Member; 1st Post; TO-35 Air Cleaner

Hello, Just bought a 1955 Ferguson TO-35 (Ser# 146153). Going over it, I noticed the cup to the oil-air cleaner rusted thru. Ordered a replacement cup from YT, but found that the "media" that is inside the main housing of the air cleaner is disintegrating. Is that media replaceable? I don't find a part number for just the media anywhere. Any Thoughts?

Yes it is replaceable, not an easy task but I remember I had to do it to mine.

i have cleaned and re-packed a few of em over the years. dug out old material with screwdriver (pita) and then re-packed with a stainless kitchen scrubber mesh.

I wouldn't use the kitchen mesh. Use the filter mesh they sell on this site.

Steve, I read somewhere, probably the Ford N forum that pieces of the kitchen scrubber stuff can come loose and get sucked into the engine. Don't know if that's true, but that's what I read.
