I was using my 1800A on a 3 pt. stump Grinder and the pto stopped and started grinding at back of engine. Pulled the shaft and it was stripped out in the last 1/8 inch of splines. Pulled the engine and the solid pto hub in flywheel was also stripped for 1/8 inch of about 1 inch engagement surface. I had a second plug that goes behind the shaft and compared that to the original one. The one in the tractor had worn cup shape enough to allow the shaft to move back nearly an inch. Has anyone seen this before or is there two different plugs. Will probably put it all back together with the other plug to keep shaft fully engaged. Steve.
