Are they something like the ones Steiner is selling ?

If it is they have come up with a new starter design. 20 plus years ago you could rebuild the starter but the drive you could not get. Seemed like one point a good starter was worth as much as whole machine! You can also talk to Zimmerman about it.

I'm planning on getting it mechanically sound and then giving it a paint job. So I wouldn't call it a restoration but more of a revival.

Well I made some more progress on the hg today. Today was the first time this engine has ran in years. It doesn't run good yet but it does run. I believe it's starving for fuel and the magneto is a little out of time. But I should have it sorted out soon.
