Oliver Hydraulic System

I have a super 77 oliver that had a front end loader that worked fine. We removed the loader to put on another tractor and now we tried to hook up two hydraulic hoses on the right side of the pump (if you're sitting on the tractor) to raise and lower our pull behind chopper. There's pressure in the hoses and we know this because it is very hard to get the couplers to release but the hydraulic ram will not move. Any help is appreciated!

Are you sure the ram is loose?

Should be it's a brand new ram

Do the hoses have pressure on the ram side of the coupler, or just the tractor side of the coupler?

Did you try a different ram? Are the male and female couplers compatible? Same brand?
