I did all the things you guys suggested, cleaned the battery terminals and all the grounding wires. They were all in pretty good shape to begin with, but a good cleaning never hurts.
I talked to Jeff's buddy about a noise surpressor. He informed me that Diesel engines are really the only ones that have that particular problem. (Good idea though.) Went ahead and purchased a Throttle Position Sensor from NAPA. Installed it and tried her out. All runs fine and the truck shifts perfect.
You do however have to give the truck engine a little while to "Re-learn" the proper idle RPM's. I just drove it a few miles and started it up about three times and now it idles good.
There is a couple of little quirks with the new sensor for you guys that might need one. You have to choose either a gasket or an "o" ring to go behind the sensor when you install it. These come with the kit. What you choose depends on the throttle body structure. Diesle engines have a different facing than gas. Just F.Y.I. incase you get the same problem.
Thanks again for everyone's help in solving this problem. I really appreciate it.
