OT How come it does that?

Most of the posts on here come up and fill the screen, easy to read, just scroll down. BUT, some are really wide, and you have to scroll sideways to read each line, a real pain. Any way to keep it from doing that? Chris

IMHO always caused by a photo somewhere in the thread that is too large to be displayed within the normal margins. As a reader of a thread there is very little you can do about it. Resizing photos before posting is a topic that can be found in the archives. HTH Hendrik.

When you find one of those wide ones, hold down the Ctrl key while rolling the mouse wheel back in your direction, This will reduce the size of the post until it fits the screen.

I think I caused it to do that one time by holding the $ key for way too long trying to make a point. Seems it'll do that if you don't hit the spacebar in addition to what everybody else says about posting pictures.

No mouse wheel ? Then hold down Ctrl key and press - key on right side of key board. Holding down Ctrl and pressing + key makes the post larger, using the - key makes it smaller.

Hilite the words, copy, open notepad and paste.
That should make it readable and not too much trouble.
Don't need to save when you close notepad.
Email me if that's too vague.

I tried it and it works, made it small enough to fit on the screen. Then I had to put my glasses back on to read it because the print was so small. Still better than having to scroll back and forth all the time. Thanks, Chris

If you have IE7 then it has a zoom function under "tools" that also does the same thing as control +/-

On the right side of the header bar of the forum there is "modern view". Click on that and it will change to a different type of view that fits your screen.
