i have a 1939 a john deere and i am looking to reduce the 1st gear ratio. can i get a 1st gear reduction from another tractor. i am going to pull with it on 15.5x38. any help would be helpful
IM MISSING something . how does installing a 1st gear ceeper gear in the hi lo transmissions effect second gear.(quoted from post at 17:45:56 11/29/08) This is the advantage of the gearing change, NATPA Division 2 in limited to 3 mph. This & a local sled also pulls at 3 mph. This gearing works well with 14.9"s, you can run the rpm up in 2nd gear, rather than run half throttle. If rules allow, 16.9"s work well at 3.5 mph. as well.
IN APRIL NEXT YEAR GOT TO WORK UNTIL THEN . WE WILL GO PULLING IF YOU WANT.(quoted from post at 22:27:01 11/30/08) U know what mlpankey I have seen alot of stock two lungers whip up on alot of Allis Chalmers that werent stock so I would quit talking smack.
FIRST of all i never said i knew anything about a john deere . told a guy the other day to call kent on how to do it cause i didnt know how but knew it could be done . come on down lets see what you got . if youre as good as you act then you must be board with winning . so loosing might give you some motivation .down with the king . we in the south could probably come up with a porcelan throne to send back with you. brown stains and all.(quoted from post at 15:35:01 12/01/08) ml plankey you dont know everything get over it these guys know what in the heck they are talking about when they talk about putting creeper gears in As. Like I said I have seen alot of two lungers woop up on WD-45s.
SOUNDS like the name brand of youre tractor would explain what you should do . cockshutt.(quoted from post at 18:33:16 12/01/08) I have a 50 cockshutt that eats AC's for breakfast. Dont need to waste my time and money to come down there. Need I say more?
I simply stated that i was missing something on how it affected all gears and not just one it was explained reasonably to me for i didnt know how the internals worked . then came a pompus you know what called pulling king . so ive pulled against cockshutt 50s several times 1 more want hurt me but it might him . down with the king the stained brown throne awaits .(quoted from post at 06:21:08 12/02/08) Like I said below you two children just need to quit relpying to each other. I think my 2 and 4 year old nephews act more mature than you guys.
