A dispute over what is a cut tire and what is a altered tire. This was an issue that should not of gotten as far out of hand as it did and I hope it is resolved for next year. The problem with these sort of things is that there is no winner when you have an argument like this and good people on both sides of the issue have hurt feelings. I only hope all this can be put aside and everyone be friends once more and be able to enjoy each others company and friendship like we did before the dispute every came up.

well i hear the guy over all the pulling does not go by the rules any way.He for his buddys is that ture

Well said. We come as friends & should leave as friends. When your tractor doesn't pass inspection & one exactly like it has no problem - well, something doesn't seem right.

That's the problem...you hear. Come see for yourself. We have a dispute committee that makes the call right or wrong! Promoter is not the decison maker. We have a very good bunch of folks down here. I am very sorry fellings got hurt last week, I too hope there is a forgiveness for past issues. I don't recall anyone being flatly turned away from a pull. If you come to pull with the wrong stuff you are given the opportunity to pull out of competition and return at the next pull with the correct stuff! Seems a lot of folks come intentionally to pull illegally. What's wrong with a local club having rules they go by? If you meet the rules you have no problem. The issue of cut vs non-cut will not end until someone comes up with a "line in the sand" to determine this. In my opinion cut tires belong in "super" classes."worn tires is where the issue actually lies. All tires get worn in some fashion. Corn Pickers, Combines, feild tractors and yes even pulling tractors have distictive wear patterns, Most of us have enough sense to tell an obvious cut from a worn tire. Our rules currently do not address "altered" tires. There will be a club vote in December to address this issue. Want to vote...Join the organization!

The rules are like NASCAR. They are selectifully enforced and can change at any time for any reason, or for that matter, for no reason.

whitehd, Do you have a dog in this fight or are you just trying to stir something?
If you knew the dispute committee like I do you would not question their integrity and fairness to interpret a rule and to act on it. The two biggest lies I have ever heard are, "I did not have an affair with that woman, Monica Lewinsky", And, "my tires are not cut". If someone felling go hurt Saturday, then they were Illegal according to the rules that are now in effect. Now I don't know what part of Illegal you don't understand, but If you need some tutoring, I will be glad to send you the definition according to Webster.

I have been involved in pulling and pulled for fourty years and I have yet to see one pull that somebody was'nt upset about something. The promoter, the tech, the track officials, the scales, the rules, the sled and or operator, and we all know about the cheaters. I know some complaints are 100% right but rather then wine, fuss, and fight why not work togeather to change the wrongs, support the sport and not bash it. Support the sport and we are all winners, bash it and we all become losers. If people spent half as much time working to better the sport as they do finding fault, think of the differance it could make. One other thing I've seen over the years is in ( not all ) but most cases when someone does'nt get there own way they throw a fit and pout and blame someone or something else and find every reason in the book to make accusations. I've been to pulls that my tractors wasn't aloud to pull because they did'nt meet the rules, ( SO WHAT ) I went on to the next pull and the next time I made sure I was up to the rules. If I don't like or agree with the rules of a club and or pull I just move on. Not every pull and not every club is for every puller.

Did you bring your concerns to the rules committe?
If you did I'm sure they would have address it and made a fair decission. If you did not, then you have only yourself to blame for your felt to be injustice.Remember these people don't go around looking for faults. They are pullers also and came to have a good time just like everyone else. They have been asked to serve by the club members thru a vote. They didn't ask to serve and they certianly don't get paid. They are doing the club and the members a favor. I'M SURE IT IS UNPLESANT TO HAVE TO SETTLE THESE DISPUTES AND IT IS A DISTRACTION FROM PULLING OF THIER OWN TRACTOR.
Give them a BREAK and try looking at things from thier perspective instead of looking for faults all the time.

To my knowledge the only rule changes that have been made have been done so to try and attract more pullers or when saftey issues arise.
