Torque wrench repair

I bought a new inch wrench yesterday because I could not get my old one to work properly. I googled it and all it needed was to clean out the old grease and replace with newer grease. So now I can return the unopened new wrench. Lack of use causes them to quit working. I didn't know that.

You are supposed to run the dial back and forth before use to spread the grease.
