The Little Red Shed produce stand in Roscoe, IL held an Antique Tractor Show last weekend. Larry brought out his many tractors, and I displayed my Case SC and VAH models. We had 10 Case tractors as well as Farmall and JD.

Those pictures brought back old memories, I remember one of our neighbors had a Farmall M with a Stanhoist loader just like that. I was the first loader that I was ever around. I think Dad borrrowed it from time to time and I have forgotten about it till I saw the pictures.
If I remember right, it you let the hydraulic cyliners down too far the cable with become slack and the cylinders could fall forward. There was a web belt attached around the cylinder to keep them from falling too far forward. When in use and the cables were tight, then the cylinders were under enough tension to remain upright and the web belts were not needed. Usually the web belts only came into play when the tractor sat too long and the oil drained back into the system .
