The biggest thing to watch with transfer pumps is to make sure they are rated for gasoline.
Most are not.

I would want to see specific wording from the manufacturer that the pump is approved for gasoline not just an amazon seller saying transfer pump for gas can in the description.

I think it would depend on your requirements. What is your need for the pump other than not getting gas on your hands?

I had a stroke. I need a way to transfer gas from a five gallon can to a tractor. lifting 5 gallons is not a good idea in my condition, What do you have? what do you recommend?

Dewalt I saw has a pump, does anyone have one? Was thinking of getting it. And I know George is a dewalt guy. Myself would be using for water and chemicals mostly.

I have a fairly expensive one that runs on AA batteries, I love it especially for the small engines like generators.
Mine will also work for diesel but you have to flush it after or the auto stop won't work for a bit.

I'm not in your shoes, but normally we use a manual hand pump if needed, but we also have an old 12v pump similar to this:

I don't think it exists. It's standard liquids only.

I don't have one of these because I'm too cheap, but I have quite a few friends that have them and use them a lot for their race car fuel jugs. They work well for gasoline and they make another version for alcohol. I know Harbor freight sells one and so does Walmart, no experience with those though, and I'll probably buy one of them as my shoulders hurt to lift the fuel jugs.

Yea I did get to look at spec on it, I really don’t have a need for gas as mostly diesel. But I know you like tier dewalt like I do. Sorry for the confusion.

As I understood the post, the pump is needed because his physical condition makes pouring from a big can into a high level tank difficult.

I've got a hand plunger type pump. You can set the can with gas in it above the gas tank you need to fill, use the hand pump to start the flow and siphon the fuel into the tank.

Check the head. How high can it pump? You might be disappointed.

Looks like a cheap knockoff of a cheap Tera pump. Which leaks like a sieve because they don't come with gaskets, doesn't fit a lot of American gas cans and uses AA batteries instead of having a rechargeable.

You do realize all you are getting is a pump with a suction pipe that you stick in a gas can and dispenser hose with a valve right? Hope it comes with a way to secure it to the gas can. If not the suction hose will pull out of the can if you lift the nozzle to high.

If so. It should work for you. No higher than the fuel tanks are on a Terramite, small Kubota and riding mowers. Good luck with it.

I'll stick with my 20+ year old Fill-Rites.
