Ustyled A Hydraulics

I've got a 36 A with a powerlift/rockshaft unit on it. The casting number on the power lift is A636R. I'm wanting to use the tractor to pull a 494 planter in the spring and wanted to know if there was a different powerlift I could put on it that would have a hydraulic outlet on it? I know a powertrol unit wont fit. Is it possible to have a hyd. outlet on an unstyled tractor/rockshaft unit or do you have to switch out the entire rockshaft/rear cover?

Thanks

Another option would be a Baker valve if you could find one. They show up on this site occasionally, or on ebay.
Good luck, VH

Well I'm not sure if my rockshaft housing is just an early design or what, but the powertrol is taller than my stock power lift. The number on my rockshaft housing is PL-2731 As you can see in the pics below, the gasket for the powertrol is taller than the mount area on the tractor. Is there a hyd option for this early of a rockshaft housing? or do you have to switch the housing out to a newer one to have a hyd outlet?

I did know the early power lifts were different... I thought they were changed earlier than 36 though. Shows what I know.

Mine probably has a rear cover (and power lift) from a later tractor.

Perhaps there is an adapter plate? It does appear the holes are all in the same position. Somebody more knowledgible than me probably has the secret in some old service bulletin somewhere.
