I just bought this from a collector and I would like to restore it. I have no idea the model number. It runs, but needs a chain. Also would like to know if parts are available. Thanks

Most of the Snapper tillers of that style looked alike. ....The main difference was the engines used on the different models.

Models 300T and 301T had a 3hp engine. ....Model 401T had a 4hp engine. ....The models 500T, 500TC, 501T, and 501TRC had 5hp engines.
....All these models used the same chain (part # 7011182).

The numbers from your Tecumseh engine may help answer which exact model you have, or you can compare all the parts diagrams .

According to the attached link, the chain was part # 7011182, but is not available at that site.

Snapper did not make the roller chain and it should be found at most mower shops, tractor supply, or power transmission supply houses. ....It is most likely #35 or #41 chain, and is usually sold by the foot. .....A Connecting Link (aka master link) joins the ends together. ....An offset link adds 1/2 link, if needed.

Snapper Tiller Parts
Thank you so much!

Snapper introduced their tillers in 1968 or 1969.

Your Tecumseh engine should have the Model & Spec numbers embossed into a tag riveted to the flywheel shroud, or they may be stamped into the top of the flywheel shroud near the sparkplug.
