Winter engine oil

Hello, I intend on using my diesel major this winter for snow removal and can get Rotella 15w40 for a great price. Our winters are cold, last February we saw overnight temperatures as low as -27F. Will this oil be ok? Thanks.

I think that is pretty thick, maybe even 5-30, or plug it in.
