wrist pin bushing

I have pistons that have a 1 1/2 pin and may rods are 1 1/4 what is the best way to bush them or the materal to use and to retain the pin can a guy use buttons on the end of the pins if so what what materal can be used thanks

It's been done before. Machine bronze or brass type bushings like a wrist pin bushing the length needed to be flush with the pin ends and leave just a little clearance to float to the rod, aluminum buttons to hold the pin and bushings centered.

I would drill oil holes in or grove them a bit so that everything can get oil and allow it to float.

thanks for the reply it is for my moline tring to figure out piston combination for stroking do you know what grade of bronze or alum

any chance if you removed the bushings out of the rods it would be the right id to run the pin in the rod without a bushing? I've done it before.

I don't want to buy custom rods or pistons. with the pistons that I have I need to run 9.5 rods and 6.75 stroke do you know of any rods with 1.5 wrist pin and 9.5 long

B-544 [leaded phosphur bronze] ,532,534,545 are similar. I read this is what KB engines used............

What bore are your pistons? comp height?

Use bronze bushings with 7 to 9 thousands over size to go in the pistons then freeze the bushings, heat pistons on gas grill and bushings will slide right in then take to machine shop to fit ristpins to bushings, thats the way i did mine.
