wrong color tractors

The post below got about the Farmall H got me wondering about your opinion on Tractors being painted the wrong color. I have seen 2,8, and 9N's painted every color of the rainbow. Case tractors have been several colors over the last 100 years from the factory and have seen Cases painted the newer Case color ( SC painted desert sunset and flambeau. I own it so I will do what I want with it, or out of respect for the Jerome, Henry, Cyrus or John, I will paint it the color it came from the factory., What is your opinion? Thanks, Bill

Years ago, when I working at Farmall, I saw three IH tractors that were painted orange on the bottom of the tractor, a black strip in the middle with the top section of the tractor painted green. I was told it was a special order going to a large scale carrot farm out west.

When we rebuilt the engine on our Ford 2N. I gave the grill, hood, gas tank, air cleaner and fenders to a friend of mine that does some autobody work on the side, with instructions to paint them "Ford blue n white"... because my wife and I are both children of the 70's, when ford tractors were blue and white.

My wife and I love our "Little Blue 2" with a white grill, blue hood, white fenders, a blue air cleaner tube with a white cap... the original red on the engine and tranny is so old that it's essentially neutral, relative to the nice, bright white n blue.

I've been known to pass the time doing mindless field work singing... "You can do anything, but stay off of my Little Blue 2..." (RIP Elvis)

I had an Oliver Super 66 in 66 colors. I like the yellow, red and green with the yellow arrow, low down the side of the 66. I used it a long with my Farmall H at plow days. # 60 plow with hyd's behind the H and an Oliver #4240 behind the Oliver. No Cockshutts around here so I found a cheap Oliver 660 and painted it in Cockshutt 660 colors. My favorite Cockshutt tractor, and Cockshutt paint scheme....James

Guess maybe some wouldn't like this.
I like it, that weight looks like it is an old toung weight for a wagon toung. I drilled and tap[ped one to bolt onto a Kubota years back.
