Do grouchy old men have any decency, compassion and tact? Apparently not on here. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anythingDon't they teach punctuation and capitalization in school anymore?

This place is almost depressingIs it raining so you guys can't work? Nothing to do but sit in the house and gripe about spelling?
Both the Hiniker and Year-a-Round cabs have been pulled off the tractors I’ve had for that reason. Not saying that’s a reason to not do this it sounds like something needed. I’d try ASAP 1st since they sponsor the forum. if they don’t have one there’s a guy with half a section lot of Allis junkyard down here called Eichlenborg’s salvage in Aplington, Iowa. Or 30 mins south of Mason City. It’s highly likely he’s got an allis cab for you.Thank you for that, ALL IS NOT LOST! All I can tell you about that cab is, once you get it on don’t ever drive a JD of the same era with a Sound Guard cab.
I'm with you Kevin. I've left several times over the years, just came to the Oliver forum. I came back to Talk eventually every time. (Don't think I'll ever go back to Tales) I just gets worse every time I come back here. More good people gone without a trace and more people here who seem to think it's fun or amusing to be a troll. As to this post, like Sweet feet said, nice to see young people here, and when we get one who isn't a liar, these trolls just go after him instead of answering any questions he has or encouraging him. It's sickening. There was one here just a month or so ago, had a brand he played around with, was asking about a combine, the trolls told him to hire it done or forget about growing anything. Real helpful. This place is almost depressing. Used to enjoy reading and posting over several cups of coffee every morning. Now .... maybe a couple sips and I give up on this site.
One other thing I should mention is there was a decent dealer around here back in the day and for as close as we are to Waterloo and Charles city there’s still 4 of my neighbors who have like 30 ac tractors a piece (I’ve always thought it’s kinda crazy but a good dealer back then meant the world!) one actively farming with them so if you try moving to the AC forum first and don’t have any luck direct message me and I’ll see if I can get you some better help. Both the Hiniker and Year-a-Round cabs have been pulled off the tractors I’ve had for that reason. Invest in and wear some good hearing protection (they have them with radios and even Bluetooth now) or you will end up like the rest of them here that can spell. He’s got a lot going on here boys. And sounds like he has a good plan.
Don’t worry that’s something my mom has forced me to wear as soon as she heard that turboed 301 take off down the road for the first time. I have some of those radio ones that I like. Not to mention I enjoy not having the whine of my super rear echoing in my ears all nightBoth the Hiniker and Year-a-Round cabs have been pulled off the tractors I’ve had for that reason. I will put some pics up here soon as I post another update if you guys like hearing about it. About the cab I'm just lucky that my spring planting only took a week in total. Thanks for the supportNot much Allis stuff in my family other than the silver combines so can’t help you there.
I enjoy the outdoors so I plant with an open station tractor because it’s always nice when planting right? This spring has challenged me one morning was 27 degrees, twice there were snow flurries on me, once rain spits that weren’t enough to gum up the tires but sure got me damp, and the 30-50 mph wind day. Actually the worst was when it was 50 degrees and a steady 20-25mph wind all day, I thought I dressed warm but was shaking when I got in the house. Why are we planting in these condition eh? And yes I sure enjoy a cab on the combine and fall tillage tractors.
Thanks for the update.
Pics are nice if you happen to snap some for the next update.

There’s probably four or five laying around the farm from when my dad grew up for the jet star and 2555 and 656. My neighbor (my dads landlord) farmed with a 686 ih gas with a 710 ih plow he had one there he said it was nice until the back window and canvas got wrecked and when he bought his dads 1086 there was no use for itI'm not going to knock you on grammar and I didn't really notice until it was brought up by everyone. I understood what you were trying to say without it. Its good to see a young person trying to make a go of it and one that seems to have a good work ethic.
To answer your question I would consider getting a canvas wind break or what we use to call a Heat Houser. We used them for fall work and they are easy on and off. TSC use to sell one that was a universal fit that would work on your 200. You will probably have to order it. They will keep the wind off you and throw a little engine heat on you and make it more bearable in the cold. They were popular before the day of factory cabs.
I think I can help you with the cab thing. I worked at Hiniker cab R&D The cab frame is the same for every make and model. Takes different mount brkts and different filler plates. If you have welding abilities you can make the mounts. Hiniker was rubber mounted also and I believe yeararound is as well. You can remove all the windows and doors on Hiniker. Lot of people on here will cuss them old add on cabs... loud, noisey and dirty but when they went out the factory door back in the day they were nice. But as the foam padding and door, window gasket started deteriorating nobody ever replaced. When the floor mat wore out they just kept going. When the sound deadening material fell down under the hood and the cowl they just threw them in the burnpile. Now 50 yrs later they talk them down. Ever stop to think how your pickup would be if you ripped all the carpet and upholstery and window, door gaskets o
Im over just south of lakeville Do you farm We all still milk a littleDakota County eh? Me too, Hastings.
I wish you had some experience with cabs without air before you spend any money or time on it. There'll be about three days out of the year that you'll be glad you have it and 362 that you want to chain it to a tree and take off as fast as you can go. It's unreal how fast it get's almost unbearable in there. It's like shutting a dog in a car in an asphalt parking lot. You have to experience it to know. Do you know anybody with a cab tractor that'll let you drive it for a few rounds with the AC turned off? There’s probably four or five laying around the farm from when my dad grew up for the jet star and 2555 and 656. I can’t remember if I said in an earlier post but my dad and grandpa both milk cows still and grow some corn and beans. So I help with that and all the work that involves. But to answer your question. Our loader tractor on the farm is a 6300 jd with a cab that has 14000 hours ac doesn’t work a lick. But I still do enjoy loading round bales it gets hot sometimes really hot but I guess when my grandpa passes and the farm gets sold I’ll look back and remember how fun I had doing even if I can’t do it anymoreI wish you had some experience with cabs without air before you spend any money or time on it. My wife and I were talking the other day about how many folks we have met because of this forum. A dozen or more have stopped at our place in Alabama on their trips to Florida. Met others at tractor shows. Then we started naming the folks that have left YT for good.I'm with you Kevin. I've left several times over the years, just came to the Oliver forum. Here's just a tiny little fraction of the guys I've met from here. How many of them are even here anymore? Not many. I've been at yard sales and flea markets in Kentucky and Tennessee and had guys holler at me from half way across the grounds, had others come up to me at shows and introduce themselves, been invited to people's houses in other states and have gone. I'm pretty sure most are still alive, but they had enough of the crap on here and either left for good or just read and don't post because they don't want to get flamed. My wife and I were talking the other day about how many folks we have met because of this forum. Regarding the Deere 6300,diagnosing and repairing a/c is not all that difficult.Get a good set of gauges and vacuum pump.Youtube ZK mastertech; he has a great tutorial on a/c systems.Lots of very helpful info out there for troubleshooting and repairing automotive type a/c systems.(Basically the same as tractors and such).I can’t remember if I said in an earlier post but my dad and grandpa both milk cows still and grow some corn and beans. Agree. Got drug thru the mud here and banned for awhile simply because I pointed out several inconsistencies in a person’s post. I became the bad guy. Decided when ban was lifted it was best to just stay back and post very little. Seems you never really know what sets anyone off and if you disagree you are the bad guy.My wife and I were talking the other day about how many folks we have met because of this forum. Exactly why I won't go back to Tales! The clan there sticks together and it doesn't matter what immotal crimes one of them might commit. They could be sitting in prison for life and posting from there and the cult would still be giving them pep talks and telling them they were framed.Agree.
