Ford 6000, 6000 commander flywheels

I’m swapping a motor out of my 1965 6000 commander into my 1963 6000. Am I able to just put the commanders motor into the early 6000 with the flywheel that’s on it? I’ll post pictures, but the commander flywheel just has a solid hub and the early 6000 flywheel looks like it has a clutch plate in it. Is the commander flywheel a better updated part?

According to the parts catalog, the '65-up tractors had a larger torque limiter, 8" diameter versus 7.25" for the earlier models. Given that the transmission input shaft is the same for all 6000 tractor models, I highly suspect that the two versions you have are essentially interchangeable. I recommend getting some HD spline lubricant for the input shaft before you slide it together. Those splines need all the help you can give them. I recommend Schaeffer's 279 spindle and coupling lubricant. I can find a link for a 5-gallon bucket but not for a single tube.
