    Is it necessary to remove the crank pulley to remove the front cover? part # 6019. front dist (8 1/2n) seems to be a bit of both 8n and 9n. I have all the bolts off the govener support plate etc.. it is cast so didn't want to bfh it. thanks as always.

    update on axle cracks and ?

    Its 4 speed, it seems the front end is 2n-9n and the rest 8n, its a early 8n SN 370, maybe they were using up old parts at mfg. There is also no ID# on the front motor support so it makes ID the parts nil.

    Took the axle to the welder and he wants $130 to fix by welding a plate on both sides, said a new one would be his suggestion. But that is only where the problem starts, I need to buy bearings etc for the spindles and hubs. The spindle is 9n3107-B not in parts manual the other has no number...
