    John Deere H

John Deere H crankcase and spark plug chamber flooded with raw gas, fuel valve was not shut off so I presume it was caused by a carburetor problem. What would it take to fix this. Thanks for any suggestions.

    1941 JD H

We got the gas valve replaced and the tractor starts easy but runs rough, which I think is a carb problem. Is the only adjustment on top of the carb? Which does what? Probably needs to be rebuilt, is this carb more difficult to rebuild compared to a IHC Carb like an H carb?

Thanks for the info, I think we went this far we will take off the hood but will go back with a regular sediment bulb assembly.

    John Deere H hand start

Thanks for the advice, should have asked first. Can we just put on a regular sediment bowl assembly and just hook it up to one tank, if we can't get the old one working

    John Deere H hand start

The gas valve that switches from gas to kerosene is plugged up and we can't turn the valve. We started to remove the hood so we could get at the valve easier. That is a problem in its self so far we can't get the gas tank to separate from the hood. Looking at it from another angle can we...

    1938 F12 Farmall

Local Museum contacted me to find a fan belt for a 1938 F12 tractor. I haven't seen it but I'm told it is 1" wide and 40 inches total length. Any suggestions as to where I can find this?

    1948 WC transmission

When I put it in low gear the shifter drops out and leaves it in gear. The first lid had some worn shifting lugs and shift end. I built these up to what looked like should be close to specs and it did the same thing. The spare lid I have didn't seem to be worn that much but it drops out too. I...

    1948 WC Transmission

Do you know the thickness of the tabs on the 3-4 shift lug. Mine is worn allowing the shift lever to slip out. Mine now is .033 thousands. The space between lugs is .050+. Someone built it up with weld but didn't machine it down and it has since worn down. I'm thinking if I build it up to .040...

    1948 WC Transmission

Qhile getting ready to install the spring and detent ball fo rteh reverse rail a little bullet shaped piece of iron fell out of the housing, I think it should go between the two rails but can't find anything like it in the parts manual. I'm not sure just what to do with it.

    1948 WC Transmission

I got the shifting lever out through the top of the transmission. There was nothing attached to the rod that operates the reverse lock out. Is there something in the transmission yet? I didn't have time to really check it out too much before I had to quit. Can the reverse lock be left out...

    !948 WC Allis Chalmers

I think I know the answer but I can hope. Can you remove the external shifter from the top of the transmission or does it have to come out the bottom after you remove the shifting rails.
